Bodrum is known not only for its world-famous bays and deep blue sea but also for its rich artisan heritage. One of the most distinguished representatives of this cultural legacy is Ertan Aydınoğulları and the enamel artworks he crafts by hand.

🎨 The Art of Enamel

Enamel is a traditional artisan technique that involves applying colored glass powder onto a metal surface, then firing it at around 900°C to create decorative patterns. Typically applied to soft metals like copper, the process transforms functional objects into unique works of art.

🧿 Bodrum Mine Atelier & Concept

In a small, locally based workshop in Bodrum, handcrafted jewelry such as necklaces and bracelets are created with great care and attention. Each piece is made by hand and reflects the philosophy of “your story, your style.”

Most of these handmade pieces are created using the hot enamel technique, fired at 900°C. Each detail is a testament to the craftsmanship and precision involved.

💎 The Enamel Collection by Ertan Aydınoğulları

The works of Ertan Aydınoğulları, displayed at Pafta’m Bodrum, showcase the artistry and meticulous handcrafting that define his atelier. Highlights from the collection include:

  • Small Copper Plate with Enamel: Featuring an evil eye motif, 7 cm in diameter, suitable for both decorative and functional use.

  • Medium-Sized Enamel Bowl: Perfect for serving meze, sauces, or desserts — a true blend of elegance and craftsmanship.

  • Large Enamel Plate: Measuring 10–10.5 cm, this richly detailed piece stands out on any table or as home decor.

  • Pendant with Enamel Tip: Crafted using the hot enamel technique and finished with skilled handwork, a truly unique accessory.

🧵 The Essence of Handcrafted Art

  • Production Details: Each piece undergoes thermal processing to ensure vibrant, long-lasting colors and exceptional durability.

  • Motifs: Evil eye charms, botanical patterns, and traditional Turkish designs are frequently used — each bearing the natural imprint of handcraft.

  • Usage: While some items are functional (bowls, plates), others are worn (jewelry). All of them can be appreciated as decorative art objects.
